How long will it take for you to get to me?
This is mostly dependent on the time of day. Morning and afternoon rush hour almost always takes longer than other times of the day with the very rare exception. It is also dependent on your location compared to mine. Typically, you can expect a response time of around 10-40 mins, although this can vary due to the above reasons. Can you damage my car during the process of getting me back in?
As an auto-locksmith, you must always use non-destructive methods first. If this is successful (which most of the time it is) you will likely not even be able to tell we’ve touched your vehicle. On the rare occasion where ‘destructive’ entry is required, there is a certain amount of risk involved depending on the technique used. With this being said, we explain the process beforehand, it must also be noted that upmost care is always taken, and nothing will be done without having the customer sign a disclaimer first.
How much does it cost to get me back in my car?
This mostly depends on how far we’ve had to travel and time of day. Our prices start from £120 ranging up to £190 during the day (06:00-21:00) and starts at £200 during anti-social hours (21:01-05:59). If you’re locked out, give us a call and we’ll work out the distance, and taking into account the time of day, give an instant price.
As a rule, we don’t cover London. I do however sometimes help customers on the outskirts of West London, and on on these occasions, for areas where the London congestion charge is in place, this will be added onto the price.
Can I pay by card?
You can pay be card – credit or debit card is absolutely fine. I also take cash and bank transfers.
I’ve locked myself out and lost my car keys – can you make me a new one?
We unfortunately don’t offer a key programming service. We will always check to make sure you haven’t completely lost your keys before coming out to you as getting back into the car without them would be wasted time and expense for both parties.
Do you ever smash windows?
Smashing a window is an absolute last resort – it is extremely rare that it has to be done but unfortunately there are occasions where there is no other way of getting in. If the situation were to arise, we would put CrashWrap on the glass before breaking to minimise glass shatterings from getting in the interior and scratching the plastics. Once broken, we would also cover the hole with more CrashWrap to prevent windblow until you can get a replacement window.
